Dental Bridges
We are here to help you to get a
healthy and happy Smile
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are prostheses made to replace missing teeth. They can be made of metal, porcelain, or a mix of the two.
If you choose porcelain bridge our experts will match the colour of the bridges to the rest of your teeth
to fit in and seem realistic.

How are they made
Support from the neighboring teeth will be taken to make a dental bridge to replace the missing tooth or teeth. The teeth will be prepped as needed. To minimise any inconvenience, a local anaesthetic is usually administered before preparation. An imprint or a scan of the teeth will be taken and will be sent to a dental technician, who will then manufacture the bridge to the specific size, shape, and colour which will be fitted in your mouth by your dentist.
While the bridge is being made, our dental staff may want to place a temporary plastic bridge or crown.
When the bridge is made, the temporary bridge will be removed. Then, your dentist will put the permanent bridge into place. Your dentist might make minor changes to guarantee a comfortable bite before the bridge is finally fitted.
How to maintain your Dental Bridge?
An additional and consistent oral hygiene regimen is necessary following the fitting. However, if it is properly cleaned and well-maintained and if there is no accidental damage, the bridge will sustain for many years.
To avoid bad breath and periodontal (gum) disease, you should clean your bridge every day. Daily, you must also ensure to clean behind the prosthetic teeth. Our dentists and dental hygienists will guide you on the best home care regimens.
What is a Dental Bridge? +
Dental bridges fill the space caused by one or more missing teeth. A bridge comprises two or more crowns for the teeth on each gap end. These two or more supporting teeth are referred to as abutment teeth, and the fake tooth/teeth in between are referred to as pontics. They can occasionally assist address bite abnormalities and keep the remaining teeth from slipping into the gap.
Bridges are often utilised when only a few teeth need to be replaced or when lost teeth are located on one side of the mouth.
They can be made of metal, porcelain, or a mix of the two. Our experts will next match the colours of the bridges to the rest of your teeth to fit in and seem realistic.
Why should I get my missing teeth replaced? +
One consideration is your outward appearance. The next consideration is that the gap created by a missing tooth might put additional strain on the teeth on either side. A gap can also indicate that your bite is compromised since the teeth close to the gap might lean towards it, altering how the upper and lower teeth bite together. In such a case, food may become trapped in the gap, causing decay and gum disease.
Can I get a bridge right away after having a tooth extracted? +
After an extraction, the gums might take up to six months to recover completely. As a result, you will need to wait at least three months following extraction before receiving treatment in most circumstances. Our dentists will advise you on this and recommend any temporary treatment options available to cover the gap in your teeth while you wait.
Do I need a bridge to replace missing teeth? Are there any alternatives? +
A dental bridge may not always be the best solution to replace missing teeth. Our dentists will be able to tell you if using dental bridges to replace a lost tooth or teeth is the best alternative for you. If it is not the ideal solution for you, there are other viable choices like dentures and Implants for replacing your missing tooth/teeth. Again, the best recommendations will come from the dentist managing your case.

Although originally very nervous and self conscious all the staff have been amazing and my dentist Dr Hema Rajah could not have been more patient and caring. After just a few months of Invisalign treatment my teeth already look so much better and I can’t wait to see the finished article. Little things make such a difference, a warm welcome when you arrive, a genuine catch up, plenty of parking, and appointments being always on time are just a few of the things that make this practice exceptional.
